CoderDojo And Raspberry Pi Foundation Are Making World’s Biggest Coding Group

The Raspberry Pi Foundation has successfully introduced coding and computing to schools and coding groups by distributing a large number of single-board computers.

CoderDojo, a volunteer-based initiative, has become a global movement with more than 1,250 clubs and has helped over 35,000 coding enthusiasts in 69 countries to learn new skills.

Through a partnership with CoderDojo, the Raspberry Pi Foundation aims to establish the largest global organization for promoting programming. They will invest in infrastructure and systems to offer a wider range of products and services to learning communities.

The CodingDojo Foundation will function as an independent charity, based in Ireland, while the Raspberry Pi Foundation becomes a corporate member of the CodingDojo Foundation.

In addition to this partnership, the Raspberry Pi Foundation is already collaborating with Code Club to teach coding basics to 9-11-year-olds. There are currently around 10,000 Code Clubs worldwide.
