Philip Müller, the key figure leading the development of Manjaro Linux, affectionately termed as Arch Linux for individuals, revealed the introduction of a new version within the Manjaro Gellivara v17 series. The latest offering, Manjaro Linux 17.0.2, tackles various challenges that were identified post their prior release in March.
The latest updates encompass enhancements to the Calameres installer and refined hardware identification. Notable components that have received updates comprise Linux Kernel 4.9, Xorg v1.19, Manjaro Tools & Profiles, Mesa Stack 17.1.3, MHWD v0.6.0, Firefox, Thunderbird, revamped themes, and more.
The concern pertaining to vulnerable password hashes has also been resolved in Gellivara v17.0.2. Further emphasis was placed on the Xfce edition, Manjaro’s flagship release, which now includes the Xfce 4.12 desktop environment. The KDE edition showcases Plasma 5.10 in conjunction with the updated KDE Apps 17.04.
