Soon, you’ll have the chance to indulge in gaming while navigating YouTube. The new functionality, named ‘Playables’, provides users with the ability to engage in mini-games directly from the YouTube homepage as an entertaining way to while away the time.
‘Playables’ is presently undergoing testing with a restricted user base on YouTube. Accessible through a dedicated tab on the YouTube mobile app and the desktop website homepage.
Although a list of available games is not yet visible to users, a game titled ‘Stack Bounce’ has been emphasized by the news outlet ‘9to5Google’. It’s a straightforward arcade-style game where players manipulate a ball to break through rings by executing well-timed clicks.
The rendition of Stack Bounce on YouTube closely resembles versions found on the PlayStore or Facebook games.
Previously, Google had showcased the game in its GameSnacks service, a platform for experiencing quick-loading bite-sized games on mobile devices that ultimately did not succeed and was terminated.
On YouTube, Stack Bounce is anticipated to retain game progress, which can be accessed later through browser history.
If the feature proves successful, YouTube might introduce more mini games. What mini games would you like to see featured on YouTube?
