X, formerly identified as Twitter, is presently working on a job search feature that will empower users to explore job opportunities within its transformed microblogging platform – dubbed a “super app.” X is aiming to broaden its services and morph into a platform resembling Chinese apps such as “We Chat” or “AliPay.”
While the job search feature is still in the developmental phase, X has already initiated the sharing of job listings on its platform via @XHiring. Currently, these listings can only be viewed on the web and within the United States.
One user expressed interest in understanding how they can identify companies recruiting through the X job search tool.
The former CEO of Laskie, a job-matching platform acquired by Twitter/X, responded, “Job hunt, with a focus on matchmaking with relevant opportunities – both will be available soon.”
Upon the official launch of the feature, we can anticipate the X job search operating akin to Laskie. Laskie strives to streamline job hunts by facilitating connections between companies and suitable candidates and enabling them to engage with potential hires.
Similar to Laskie, businesses utilizing the X job search feature might furnish comprehensive details about the type of talent they seek, thereby simplifying the recruitment process.
Presently, Laskie’s website and public profiles remain locked, with the label “acquired by Twitter” prominently displayed alongside them.
This assertion is based on the fact that Laskie marked one of Twitter’s significant early acquisitions during Elon Musk’s tenure. While the integration of Laskie into Twitter wasn’t initially clear, it is now apparent that integration has indeed taken place.
Considering that Laskie’s distinctive talent scouting approach was pivotal in its achievements and eventual procurement, it appears logical for Twitter/X to incorporate a similar approach into their system.
